Portugal is on the cusp of something quite remarkable. It is becoming a contemporary culture powerhouse. Not just in one sphere, but everywhere all at once. ART – ARCHITECTURE – DESIGN – FOOD– WINE. The quality and depth of talent is extraordinary.
Culture Viewfinder invites you to capture the moment as a participant in the first of its kind, insider-access program featuring the contemporary culture in Lisbon and Porto. Our inaugural night is designed to coincide with the opening exhibition and party celebrating the Trienal da Arquitectura da Lisboa. Experience eight days of behind the scenes visits to the top museums, as well as private institutions and foundations (otherwise not open to the public) where you will meet the directors, curators, architects, and advocates who are driving cultural change across the country. Become familiar with iconic early modern buildings, and lesser known neighbourhoods during personal talks given by experienced architects, and architecture writers. Walk the atmospheric streets. Visit key shops featuring unique Portuguese products. Feel and taste the atmosphere of Portugal’s two largest cities in charming mercerias, bustling cervarias and modern restaurants showcasing the freshest and finest of Portuguese cuisine and wine.
