Welcome Dinner at Vinhas d’Alho located right on the Douro river. Enjoy a special prix fixe menu with Port wine pairings.

Architect lead tours of two iconic early works by Alvaro Siza Vieria, Portugal’s most renowned

architect—the Boa Nova Casa da Chá (Tea House), and Piscines de Mares (Tidal Pools)

followed by a fresh grilled fish lunch at São Valentim adjacent to the famed Matosinhos Port.

Quick stop at the new Casa da Arquitectura centre. Return to the hotel to rest and refresh.

Visit and dine at the restaurant atop the Casa da Musica building designed by Rem Koolhaus.

Enjoy multiple exhibitions a the Serralves Museum and Foundation,  Alvaro Siza’s award winning museum,  visit the Art Deco ‘Pink House’ and discover outdoor art installations as you stroll through the extensive gardens.

 

Lunch in central Porto at the quaint Essencia organic café  near the Boavista Circle. 

 

Pit stop for Pasteis de Nata (Portugal’s famous custard tarts) at Mantegaria . Afternoon option to return to the hotel to rest and refresh, or to stroll from the Bolhãu Market district through central Porto toward the river and make your own way back to the hotel.
